 ENG - An international wedding told through a natural and spontaneous approach, with mountaineering, family and a big garden celebration

ITA - Renske e Francesco non cercavano il classico servizio fotografico di matrimonio costruito intorno alle pose. La loro richiesta era molto chiara fin dall'inizio: volevano un reportage al 100%, capace di seguire la giornata così come sarebbe realmente accaduta. Niente situazioni costruite, niente momenti creati appositamente per la fotografia. Volevano poter parlare, ridere, stare con gli amici e prendersi cura di Dorian senza dover pensare alla macchina fotografica. Per noi questo significava osservare ancora di più. Essere presenti, ma discreti. Anticipare i momenti senza crearli e lasciare che fosse la giornata stessa a produrre le immagini.

 ENG - Renske and Francesco were not looking for a traditional wedding photography service built around posed photographs. Their request was very clear from the beginning: they wanted 100% documentary photography, following the day exactly as it naturally unfolded. No staged situations, no moments created specifically for the camera. They wanted to talk, laugh, spend time with their friends and take care of Dorian without having to think about the photographer. For us, this meant observing even more carefully. Being present while remaining discreet. Anticipating moments without creating them and allowing the day itself to create the photographs.

ITA - Il matrimonio è iniziato nel municipio di Agordo, un luogo particolarmente importante per Renske e Francesco: è proprio qui che si sono conosciuti. La fotografia ha seguito la cerimonia con lo stesso approccio scelto per tutta la giornata, lasciando spazio agli incontri, alle emozioni e ai piccoli momenti che spesso rischiano di passare inosservati. In alcune immagini compare anche la casa in cui hanno convissuto, un dettaglio che aggiunge al reportage un piccolo frammento della loro storia. Da Agordo siamo poi partiti verso Sospirolo, seguendo la giornata nel luogo in cui Renske e Francesco avevano scelto di continuare i festeggiamenti.

ENG - The wedding began at the town hall in Agordo, a particularly meaningful place for Renske and Francesco: this is where they first met. The ceremony was photographed with the same approach we followed throughout the day, leaving room for encounters, emotions and the small moments that can so easily go unnoticed. Some photographs also feature the house where they once lived together, adding another personal fragment to the story. From Agordo, we then travelled to Sospirolo, following the couple to the place where they had chosen to continue the celebration.

ITA - A Sospirolo li aspettava la loro casa, circondata dal giardino che avevano preparato per accogliere tutti gli invitati. Il ricevimento aveva un'atmosfera molto lontana da quella di una festa tradizionale. Catering, street food, giochi e attività sportive erano stati organizzati per permettere a tutti di stare insieme e divertirsi. Era una festa costruita intorno al loro modo di vivere. Molto del loro mondo era presente anche qui: l'energia, lo sport, gli amici conosciuti attraverso l'alpinismo e persone arrivate da diversi paesi per condividere con loro questa giornata. In mezzo a tutto questo, Dorian era naturalmente uno dei protagonisti del racconto.

ENG - In Sospirolo, their home was waiting for them, surrounded by the garden they had prepared to welcome all their guests. The reception had an atmosphere far removed from a traditional wedding celebration. Catering, street food, games and sports activities had been organised to give everyone the chance to spend time together and have fun. It was a celebration built around the way they live their lives. Much of their world was present here too: energy, sport, friends they had met through mountaineering and people who had travelled from different countries to share this day with them. And in the middle of it all, Dorian naturally became one of the central characters of the story.

ITA - Il risultato è un reportage costruito sui momenti reali. Non abbiamo cercato di rendere il matrimonio più perfetto di quanto fosse. Abbiamo cercato di restituirne l'atmosfera, le persone e le emozioni. Le fotografie raccontano Renske e Francesco, ma anche tutto quello che succede intorno a loro: gli amici arrivati dall'estero, la famiglia, i momenti con Dorian, gli incontri spontanei, i giochi e l'energia della festa. E poi, come facciamo abitualmente nei nostri reportage, abbiamo proiettato le fotografie durante il matrimonio. Vedere le immagini della giornata poche ore dopo averle vissute ha creato un momento completamente nuovo. Gli invitati erano meravigliati nel riconoscersi nelle fotografie e nel rivivere quello che era appena successo. E sì, anche Francesco si è commosso.

ENG - The result is a reportage built around real moments. We did not try to make the wedding look more perfect than it was. We wanted to preserve its atmosphere, its people and its emotions. The photographs tell the story of Renske and Francesco, but also everything happening around them: friends who travelled from abroad, family, moments with Dorian, spontaneous encounters, games and the energy of the celebration. And then, as we often do with our wedding reportage, we projected the photographs during the wedding itself. Seeing images from the day only a few hours after experiencing those moments created an entirely new part of the celebration. The guests were amazed to see themselves in the photographs and relive moments that had happened only hours before. And yes, Francesco got emotional too.

ITA - Una storia fatta di persone, montagne e vita vera. Renske e Francesco cercavano un fotografo che non chiedesse loro di comportarsi da modelli davanti all'obiettivo. Cercavano qualcuno che sapesse osservare. Il loro matrimonio ci ha permesso di fare esattamente questo: entrare con discrezione nella loro giornata e raccontare ciò che accadeva realmente, dai momenti più intimi con Dorian alla festa con gli amici arrivati da tutto il mondo. Per noi il reportage di matrimonio è questo: esserci, osservare e lasciare che la storia accada.

ENG - A story made of people, mountains and real life Renske and Francesco were looking for a photographer who would not ask them to behave like models in front of the camera. They were looking for someone who knew how to observe. Their wedding allowed us to do exactly that: quietly enter their day and document what was really happening, from the most intimate moments with Dorian to the celebration with friends who had travelled from all over the world. For us, this is what wedding reportage is about: being there, observing and allowing the story to happen.
